Ventura 150C Connect parts & owner guide

Identify your Connect system, follow the seawater and freshwater paths, match the 20-inch membrane and filters, and locate the 7% Clark Pump service groups in Spectra's original drawings.

150C Connect or 150D Deluxe?

Connect controls

The 150C has the Spectra Connect remote display and automated control system. The 150D Deluxe has analog instruments. This guide covers original VT-150C-12V and VT-150C-24V configurations; choose a different guide for older MPC or Deluxe controls.

One membrane and a 7% pump

The 150C fact sheet specifies one 2.5 × 20-inch membrane. Spectra labels KIT-MB-20F as 21 inches in the parts drawing. The drawing identifies the 7% center block. Check the installed vessel and pump label if either has been replaced.

These versions share the main water path but use different feed pumps. The current fact sheet lists 12V 9A or 24V 4.5A power requirements. Match the installed motor and control components before buying electrical parts.

Three cartridges, two water paths

The 20-micron and 5-micron seawater elements are each nominal 10 × 2.5 inches. Seawater passes through 20 micron first, then 5 micron. The carbon element is nominal 10 × 2.5 inches in the separate freshwater-flush path; it does not replace either prefilter.

The intake strainer is the small five-inch type: assembly · screen · seal. Its screen size describes the strainer, not the 10-inch filter cartridges.

Intake & filter bowls

The feed-pump module includes the Shurflo pump, service valve and freshwater-flush bowl. The seawater dual prefilters sit downstream. 12V and 24V motors differ. Pump head and heat sink are separate service items.

INSIDE THE PUMP

7% Clark Pump service groups

The 2025 Ventura Connect exploded views identify the 7% center block and the same outside, reversing-valve, center-block and cylinder service groups used by the Ventura 150 Deluxe guide. These are manufacturer identification drawings; the interactive 7% reconstruction in the Ventura 150 Deluxe 3D Clark Pump guide ↗ is an additional visual aid. Compare the installed ratio and revision before using either guide to order parts.

7% center block joins the two cylinders. End block A and end block B have separate SKUs. Locate the pressure relief valve, end caps and J-tubes.

Kit or individual part?

7% distributor rebuild kit and 7%/10% seal and O-ring kit have different scopes. Check contents and service requirements before buying overlapping pieces. A drawing is not a disassembly procedure.

Maintain the whole water path

Prefilters and flush carbon

Replace dirty seawater prefilters according to condition; Spectra advises against cleaning them for reuse. The 5-micron element follows the 20-micron element. Change the freshwater-flush carbon at least every six months. The optional Z-Ion unit changes the flush assembly.

Storage versus cleaning

SC-1 is for preservation. SC-2 and SC-3 address different diagnosed membrane fouling. Low output can have feed or pump causes; use the manual flow test before assuming the membrane needs replacement or cleaning.

Match the 12V or 24V feed pump to the installed nameplate. Pump head repairs have a different scope from a complete motor. Check display-plus-cable versus display-only contents.

Common 150C questions

Does this system use a 20-inch or 21-inch membrane?

The current 150C fact sheet describes one 20-inch membrane; Spectra calls KIT-MB-20F a 2.5 × 21-inch kit in the Connect exploded view. Match the kit SKU and installed short vessel rather than relying on the rounded length wording.

Which filters are the seawater prefilters?

FT-FTC-20 is the upstream 20-micron seawater prefilter and FT-FTC-5 is the downstream 5-micron seawater prefilter. Both are nominal 10 × 2.5 inches. FT-FTC-CC is the separate freshwater-flush carbon element.

Does the 150C have the same controller as the Deluxe?

No. The 150C uses Spectra Connect remote controls, while the 150D Deluxe has analog instruments. Some mechanical 7% pump parts overlap, but controls and wiring must be matched to the installed system.

Can I replace one internal seal without a full rebuild kit?

Individual seals and kits have different contents. Identify the pump ratio and revision, compare the manufacturer drawing and check the kit contents before ordering overlapping items.

Will the normal carbon bowl fit a Z-Ion option?

Z-Ion is optional and changes the freshwater-flush bowl assembly. Identify the installed option before choosing a bowl or treatment part.
