Overview
FT-STN-5 is the small sea strainer in the documented Ventura intake arrangement. Its removable metal screen intercepts larger debris before seawater reaches the feed pump and finer cartridge filters.
The Ventura Connect parts drawing labels this assembly as the lid, bowl and screen. If the housing is sound and only the screen or bowl seal needs service, those parts have their own listings.

Use the small strainer shown in the intake drawing. “5-inch” identifies the strainer class; it is not a hose-connection size. The larger FT-STN-6 uses a different screen and seal.

Is its screen disposable like a cartridge filter?
The Ventura maintenance instructions call for removing and cleaning the stainless strainer screen as needed. The downstream pleated cartridges have a separate replacement procedure.
