Ventura 200C Connect parts & owner guide

Identify your Connect system, follow the seawater and freshwater paths, match the 20-inch membrane and filters, and locate the 10% Clark Pump service groups in Spectra's original drawings.

200C Connect or 150C Connect?

Warm-water 200C

The Ventura 200C is rated at 200 GPD (8.3 gal/h) under the fact sheet baseline conditions and is intended for water above 50°F / 10°C. The 150C is a different pump-ratio configuration. Confirm VT-200C-12V or VT-200C-24V on the installed system label.

One membrane, 10% pump

The fact sheet specifies one 2.5 × 20-inch membrane; the Connect drawing calls KIT-MB-20F a 21-inch kit. The 200C mapping and Spectra’s Ventura 200 rebuild kit identify a 10% Clark Pump, including HP-CB-CB10 center block. The shared Connect drawing shows a 7% block, so verify the installed pump label before ordering ratio-specific internals.

The 200C uses Spectra Connect, distinct from the 200T Deluxe analog controls. The fact sheet lists 12V 10A or 24V 5A requirements. Match the installed motor and controller before choosing 12V or 24V parts.

Three cartridges, two water paths

The 20-micron and 5-micron seawater elements are each nominal 10 × 2.5 inches. Seawater passes through 20 micron first, then 5 micron. The carbon element is nominal 10 × 2.5 inches in the separate freshwater-flush path; it does not replace either prefilter.

The intake strainer is the small five-inch type: assembly · screen · seal. Its screen size describes the strainer, not the 10-inch filter cartridges.

Intake & filter bowls

The feed-pump module includes the Shurflo pump, service valve and freshwater-flush bowl. The seawater dual prefilters sit downstream. 12V and 24V motors differ. Pump head and heat sink are separate service items.

INSIDE THE PUMP

10% Clark Pump service groups

The common 2025 Connect manual’s exterior drawing labels HP-CB-CB7, the 7% center block. That label is not the 200C part recommendation. Spectra identifies a 10% rebuild kit for Ventura 200 systems, and the 200C’s existing configuration mapping identifies HP-CB-CB10, 7/8-inch rod and matching rod seal. The separate Ventura Deluxe manual illustrates both 7% and 10% mechanical variants on pages 53–56. Its drawings and the 200T Deluxe 10% interactive pump view ↗ help identify locations, while the Connect controls and wiring remain distinct. Confirm the installed pump ratio and revision.

Kit or individual part?

10% distributor rebuild kit and 7%/10% seal and O-ring kit have different scopes. Check kit contents and service requirements before buying overlapping parts. The drawings are identification references, not disassembly instructions.

Maintain the whole water path

Prefilters and flush carbon

Replace dirty seawater prefilters according to condition; Spectra advises against cleaning them for reuse. The 5-micron element follows the 20-micron element. Change the freshwater-flush carbon at least every six months. The optional Z-Ion unit changes the flush assembly.

Storage versus cleaning

SC-1 is for preservation. SC-2 and SC-3 address different diagnosed membrane fouling. Low output can have feed or pump causes; use the manual flow test before assuming the membrane needs replacement or cleaning.

Common 200C questions

Does the 200C need a 40-inch membrane?

No. The current 200C fact sheet specifies one 2.5 × 20-inch membrane. KIT-MB-20F is the short membrane kit; Spectra also calls it 21 inches in a parts drawing.

Which Clark Pump ratio does the 200C use?

The reviewed original configuration is 10%. The shared Connect manual exterior image labels a 7% block, so identify the installed pump ratio and revision before ordering a center block, piston rod, rod seals or rebuild kit.

Are 150C and 200C controls interchangeable?

Both current models use Spectra Connect, but their documented pump ratio and operating rating differ. Verify controller generation, firmware and system label before replacement.

Where are the 20-micron, 5-micron and carbon filters?

The two nominal 10 × 2.5-inch seawater prefilters are in series, 20 micron upstream and 5 micron downstream. The carbon cartridge is in the separate freshwater-flush path.

Can I use this in colder water?

Spectra describes the Ventura 200C as designed for water above 50°F / 10°C. Compare actual feed-water temperature and the manufacturer specifications rather than assuming the rated output in colder water.

Does Z-Ion use the standard flush bowl?

Optional Z-Ion changes the freshwater-flush bowl assembly. Identify the installed option before buying the standard bowl or Z-Ion replacement.
