Spectra Watermakers 5 Micron Filter FT-FTC-5

Overview

Cartridge length × outside diameter: 10 × 2.5 inches. Manufacturer nominal length × outside diameter. Nominal size classes may differ from measured end-to-end dimensions.

FT-FTC-5 is the fine sediment cartridge used in the documented Spectra prefilter housings. Its pleated polyester media captures small particles before they reach the Clark Pump and membrane.

In the Ventura Deluxe maintenance procedure, this is the replacement element for the 5-micron housing. On systems with separate 20- and 5-micron stages, the 5-micron cartridge is the finer stage; it does not replace the coarser cartridge’s assigned position.

Fits My System

Use the standard 2.5 × 10-inch housing and its specified 5-micron position. Commercial Big Blue housings use a different cartridge diameter even when the micron rating is the same.

• FT-FTC-CC: carbon cartridge for freshwater flushing; a different filter function.
