Overview
Cartridge length × outside diameter: 10 × 2.5 inches. Manufacturer nominal length × outside diameter. Nominal size classes may differ from measured end-to-end dimensions.
FT-FTC-20 is the coarser of Spectra’s standard 20- and 5-micron pleated sediment cartridges. In a two-stage prefilter arrangement, the 20-micron element captures larger particles before water reaches the 5-micron stage.
Both standard cartridges use the same nominal size, so physical fit alone does not identify the correct filter. Read the micron marking when replacing the pair.

Use this cartridge only where the plumbing diagram specifies a standard 20-micron stage. A system with only a 5-micron housing does not gain an additional filtration stage by substituting this element.

Can I put a 20-micron element where the manual calls for 5 microns?
That changes the filtration rating. Keep the micron rating assigned to each housing in the system’s plumbing diagram.
Is this a reusable element?
Spectra recommends replacing dirty cartridges with new elements. Carry enough spares for the expected water conditions.
