FT-FTC-CCBB is the commercial solid carbon block cartridge in the freshwater-flush module. Its job is to remove chlorine from the flush supply before that water reaches the reverse-osmosis membranes.
The Farallon Connect drawing identifies this exact cartridge inside the FT-FTH-10BC3P1 flush housing. It has a different job from the 20- and 5-micron seawater prefilters, so replacing those sediment elements does not renew chlorine protection.

Does clear water flowing through it mean the carbon is still effective?
Appearance and flow do not replace the carbon service interval. The Farallon manual requires replacement at least every six months to maintain flush-water chlorine protection.
