Spectra Watermakers SP4 Salinity Probe
The SP4 salinity probe is the latest version of the salinity probe for Spectra Watermakers MPC model Watermakers. It is manufactured with a permeate resistant material and a cable that is permanently installed.

Replacing an older salinity probe
Identify the control system and MPC chip revision before choosing an SP4. EL-MPC-SP (SP1) is factory-discontinued; SP2 and SP3 are also obsolete.
- Spectra Connect: uses SP4.
- MPC 3000: requires an MPC 5000 upgrade to use SP4.
- MPC B-series or A31: the SP4 upgrade requires an EL-MPC-PCBDPA40 main board and SP4 probe.
- A34 / A35: SP4 requires EL-MPC-SPCBA daughter board, or the main-board upgrade above.
- A36 / A37 / A39 / A40: compatible with SP4.
Check the A/B revision on the display or board and choose the cable length required. EL-MPC-SPCBA is not currently listed in this catalog; the documented main-board-and-probe route is a separate option.
