Overview
EL-MTR-1/2HP12 supplies the mechanical drive for the Newport 400 feed pump. The manufacturer identifies a 12V, half-horsepower motor rated at 2,000 RPM, with a 48YC frame and TEFC enclosure.
Spectra’s manual says Newport 400 systems built from spring 2022 for 12V or 24V input use this 12V motor. Replacing the discontinued 24V motor in an older system requires PWM output adjustment for high, low and flush speeds.
Check the installed motor label and the system’s conversion history. The system supply voltage and the voltage delivered by its controller are different identification points.
