Overview
PL-PMP-140MAG is the magnetic-drive vane feed-pump head used in Spectra’s documented Bimini 300, Catalina 340 and Newport 400 arrangements. The electric motor drives this head, which supplies feed water to the watermaker’s pressure-recovery circuit.
Spectra’s parts drawing identifies the pump as 140 GPH and shows the motor separately. That number describes the feed-pump designation; it does not mean that a Newport 400 produces 140 gallons per hour of fresh water.
Use the installed drive and pump identifier when comparing older equipment. The Catalina guide separately identifies KIT-PMP-140MRF as the remanufactured counterpart.
